Biographical Information[edit]

Second baseman Tyler Mach played for the Williamsport Crosscutters of the Philadelphia Phillies chain in 2007, hitting .287/.362/.441 with 5 home runs and 38 RBI in 65 games. He was originally drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 40th round of the 2006 amateur draft, but opted not to sign. He did sign after Philadelphia took him in the 4th round of the 2007 amateur draft, a couple picks ahead of pitcher Brad Mills and in the same round as future start hurler Corey Kluber. He was signed by scout Paul Scott.

In 2006, he was named a Collegiate Baseball All-American.
