Biographical Information

Tsuyoshi Ishihara has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Ishihara was drafted by the Rakuten Golden Eagles in the 8th round of the 2016 NPB draft; the scout was Hisashi Aikyo. He mainly stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first three seasons, and he only got 12 at-bats combined for the big club. Ishihara was 4-for-23 in 2020, and he was sent back to the minors so he only played one game for the big club in the next three seasons. He was Rakuten's backup catcher behind Hikaru Ohta in 2024, and he played 68 games with a .171/.239/.288 batting line. Ishihara struggled again in 2025, and he only got 3 hits in 32 at-bats.
