Biographical Information

Toshiyuki Furukawa was drafted by the Chunichi Dragons in the 6th round of the 1981 NPB draft, but he refused to sign. The Dragons then selected him again in the 3rd round of the 1984 NPB draft, and he had a 3.77 ERA in 16 games in 1985. However, Furukawa only got pitched 6 more games for the big club before he announced his retirement in 1987.
