Toshiki Abe has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Abe played for Honda in the industrial leagues after college. He was drafted by the Chunichi Dragons in the 5th round of the 2015 NPB draft, and he was 9-for-49 in 2016. He went 4-for-41 in 2017, then he had a 5-for-23 record in 2018. Abe became Chunichi's starting second baseman in 2019, and he played 129 games with a .291/.337/.405 batting line. He ranked 10th in batting in the Central League, between Yoshihiro Maru and Yoshiyuki Kamei. He also led CL second basemen in fielding at .995. He crushed 13 homers with a .257/.306/.409 batting line in 2020. He led the league's second sackers in putouts (238) and double plays (72).
He then slumped to .209/.271/.326 in 2021. Abe bounced back soon with a .270/.338/.397 batting line in 2022, and he also set the team record as he got a hit in eight consecutive plate appearances. He tied Tetsuto Yamada and Yoshihiro Maru for 4th in doubles. The Dragons then traded him to the Rakuten Golden Eagles for Hideaki Wakui, and he had a .255/.340/.398 batting line in 78 games in 2023. He hit .227/.292/.419 with 9 homers in 2024.
