Biographical Information

Toshiaki Fukita signed with the Kintetsu Buffaloes in 1957, and he was 2-10 with a 4.33 ERA in his first season. He recorded a 4.83 ERA in 29 appearances in 1958, and he pitched 12 games with a 4.85 ERA in 1959. The Buffaloes then released him, and Fukita signed with the Kokutetsu Swallows. He allowed 2 runs in an inning in 1962, and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Fukita went 3-14 with a 4.60 ERA, struck out 127 and pitched 186 innings in 4 seasons in NPB.
