Biographical Information

Toru Takenouchi was drafted by the Taiyo Whales in the 3rd round of the 1979 NPB draft, and he only got 7 at-bats combined in his first three seasons. He hit .183/.222/.250 in 26 games in 1983, and he was traded with Kazuhiko Migita to the Lotte Orions for Mitsunori Kakehata and Yoshitaka Shinya. However, Takenouchi only played 6 more games for the top team, and he announced his retirement in 1987.
