Biographical Information

Tomoki Ishihara has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Ishihara was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 5th round of the 2019 NPB draft; the scout was Tomoya Sayashi. He stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2020, and he hit .239/.293/.354 in 60 games in 2021 as the backup catcher behind Shogo Sakakura. Ishihara only played 9 games combined for the big club in the next two seasons as he was primarily in the minors, and he recorded a .230/.284/.352 batting line in 56 games in 2024. He struggled again at the plate, and his batting line was .192/.243/.231 in 51 games in 2025.
