Biographical Information[edit]

Tomohiro Kinoshita played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 7 years

Kinoshita went 17-0 with a 1.04 ERA and 3 Best Nine awards in college, and he was drafted by the Hankyu Braves in the first round of the 1979 NPB draft after they lost the lottery for the rights to Akinobu Okada. He only pitched one game in 1980, and he had a 5.82 ERA in 7 games in 1981. Kinoshita went 9-4 with a 4.26 ERA in 41 relief outings in 1983, and he recorded a 3.83 ERA in 18 games in 1984. However, he allowed 2 runs in an inning in 1985, and the Braves released him. Kinoshita then signed with the Yomiuri Giants, and he pitched 37 games with a 3.86 ERA in 1986. His ERA was 4.70 in 13 appearances in 1987, and he announced his retirement in 1988.

Overall, Kinoshita was 10-8 with a 4.52 ERA, struck out 104 and pitched 197 innings in 7 seasons in NPB.
