Biographical Information[edit]
Tom Scaletta won Bronze with Team USA in the 1983 Pan American Games and Silver in the 1983 Intercontinental Cup. [1] The Oakland A's took him in the 20th round of the 1984 amateur draft, two picks after Gene Larkin. He returned for another year of the college and then the Minnesota Twins selected him in the 12th round of the 1985 amateur draft, one choice before Gary Eave. He played one season as a pro, hitting .192/.310/.246 in 54 games as a backup infielder for the Kenosha Twins that summer.
