Biographical Information[edit]
Tom Hall, pitching for the Minnesota Twins in a road game against the California Angels on May 17, 1971, relieved starter Bert Blyleven in the 9th inning with runners on 1st and 3rd base, nobody out, and the Twins leading, 3-2. Tom struck out the next three Angels batters to preserve the Twins victory and record his first save of the season.
