Biographical Information[edit]
Tokumasa Chano has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Chano joined the Tokushima Indigo Socks after college, and he hit .316 with 37 steals in 2021. He won the batting title, and he was 2nd in RBI and OBP. The Orix Buffaloes picked him in the 4th round of the development phase in the 2022 NPB draft; the scout was Koji Mori. [1] He crushed his first career homer against Kazuki Yabuta on June 1, 2023, and he was the first development player to hit a grand slam in his first season. Chano ended up hitting .237/.291/.269 in 91 games , and he got a vote in the PL Rookie of the Year voting. [2] He only played 16 games for the big club in 2024, and he recorded a .269/.304/.346 batting line.
