Biographical Information[edit]
The Baltimore Orioles hired Tim Gibbons to fill their Bowie Baysox hitting coach position in 2020 before the minor league season was cancelled due to COVID-19. Gibbons spent the previous six seasons as director of hitting at Be Elite Sports Training. He was one of several Orioles' hires who came from non-traditional coaching backgrounds. Gibbons was hitting coach of the Norfolk Tides in 2021-2022. After the 2021 season, he also worked as a hitting coach for the Mesa Solar Sox in the Arizona Fall League.
Gibbons did not return to affiliated baseball coaching in 2023. In 2024, he was listed as a Baseball Professional Services Lead for TruMedia Networks.[1]
