Biographical Information

Tetsuya Yokoyama was drafted by the Kintetsu Buffaloes in the 6th round of the 2002 NPB draft, but he didn't reach the top team in his first two seasons. He was assigned to the Orix Buffaloes after Kintetsu merged with the Orix BlueWave, but he never got more than 30 at-bats a season before the Buffaloes released him in 2013. Yokoyama then signed with the Ehime Mandarin Pirates, and the Rakuten Golden Eagles picked him up in 2015. However, Yokoyama failed to return to the top team and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Yokoyama hit .265/.296/.309 with 18 hits in 5 seasons in NPB.
