Biographical Information

Takuya Mitsuma played for the Saitama Musashi Heat Bears in 2015, and the Chunichi Dragons selected him in the 3rd round of the development phase in the 2015 NPB draft. He was 5-2 with a 2.19 ERA in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2016, and he pitched 35 games with 11 holds and a 4.06 ERA for the big club in 2017. Mitsuma only got 4 appearances in 2018, and he had a 3.38 ERA in 29 relief outings in 2019. However, he only pitched 9 more games for the big club before he announced his retirement in 2021.

Overall, Mitsuma went 4-3 with a 5.24 ERA and 15 holds, struck out 78 and pitched 87 2/3 innings in 5 seasons in NPB.
