Biographical Information[edit]

Takeaki Tokuyama played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 4 years

Tokuyama was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the first round of the development phase in the 2011 NPB draft, and he debuted on May 15, 2013. However, he allowed a homer to Hideto Asamura, and he was the first Yakult pitcher to give up a leadoff homer in the first inning of his first game. His ERA was 4.42 in 5 games in '13, and he pitched 7 games with a 5.32 ERA in 2014. Tokuyama notched 3 holds with a 3.58 ERA in 39 relief outings in 2015, but he only pitched 3 more games before he announced his retirement in 2017.

Overall, Tokuyama went 3-4 with a 4.55 ERA, struck out 76 and pitched 95 innings in 4 seasons in NPB.
