Biographical Information

Toshihiko Yamada was drafted by the Chunichi Dragons in the 5th round of the 1996 NPB draft, but he only pitched 6 games for the big club before he announced his retirement in 1998. On April 22, 1998, he and starter Shinji Imanaka combined allowed 13 runs and 10 straight hits in an inning; both were NPB records as of 2024.
