Biographical Information[edit]
Takashi Wada played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 3 years.
Wada was drafted by the Chiba Lotte Marines in the 3rd round of the 1993 NPB draft, and he stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first two seasons. He had a 4.62 ERA in 17 games for the Visalia Oaks in 1995, and he completed 5 1/3 shutout innings for the Marines in 1996. Wada was placed in the minors in the next two seasons, and he completed 9 shutout innings in 1999. He recorded a 3.60 ERA in 28 relief outings in 2000, then he pitched 38 games with a 4.63 ERA in 2001. However, Wada only got 3 appearances in 2002, and he announced his retirement. He coached Takushoku University Koryo High School from 2019 to 2024.
Overall, Wada was 2-3 with a 3.67 ERA, struck out 91 and pitched 137 1/3 innings in 5 seasons in NPB.
