Biographical Information

Takashi Shimizu hit .270 with 2 best nine awards in his college career, and he was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 4th round of the 2006 NPB draft. He stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first two seasons, and he was 3-for-17 in 2009. Shimizu only got 18 at-bats combined in the next three seasons, and he hit .233/.258/.289 in 39 games in 2013. He slumped to .107/.194/.143 in 2014, and he only played 2 more games before he announced his retirement in 2016.
