Biographical Information

Catcher/outfielder Takahiko Kanbara signed with the Nishitetsu Lions in 1960, and he only got 20 at-bats combined for the big club before he jumped to the Hankyu Braves in 1967. He only played one game that season, and he went to the Chunichi Dragons. Kanbara was 1-for-2 in 1969, and he announced his retirement in 1970. He did pretty well in his few opportunities in NPB, hitting .318/.318/.455.
