Biographical Information[edit]

Taiki Nakago was drafted by the Chiba Lotte Marines in the 6th round of the 2006 NPB draft, and he only got 8 appearances in his first 2 seasons. He had a 3.94 ERA in 14 games in 2009, and he pitched 24 games with a 3.81 ERA in 2011. Nakago notched 6 holds with a 2.51 ERA in 44 relief outings in 2012, and he collected 15 holds with a 3.31 ERA in 37 appearances in 2013. The Seibu Lions then selected him as the compensation for losing free agent Hideaki Wakui, but his ERA rose to 6.45 in 14 games in 2014. Nakago didn't reach the big club in 2015, and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Nakago was 6-4 with 22 holds, struck out 115 and pitched 175 1/3 innings in 7 seasons in NPB.
