Biographical Information

Tadakazu Oshima was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 7th round of the 1971 NPB draft, and he stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first four seasons. He was 3-for-9 in 1976, and he hit .255/.321/.490 in 48 games in 1977. Oshima played 46 games with a .228/.290/.368 batting line in 1978, and he went 1-for-11 in 1979. He was 4-for-24 in 1980, and he had a 6-for-23 record in 1981. Oshima only got 3 hits in 11 at-bats in 1982, and he announced his retirement in 1983. He coached the Tigers in 1984.
