Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher T.J. Burgmann played college ball at Thomas Jefferson University and graduated in 2014. According to his LinkedIn page, he spent 2014-2017 as a bullpen catcher for the Reading Fightin Phils.[1] Burgmann returned to Thomas Jefferson for the 2019 season as an assistant coach and stayed with the Rams until February, 2023.
The Houston Astros hired Burgmann in 2023 as a bullpen catcher & coaching apprentice with the Fayetteville Woodpeckers. He moved up to the Sugar Land Space Cowboys in 2024 as their bullpen catcher and catching coach. Burgmann changed his coaching focus and served as the hitting coach for the Asheville Tourists in 2025-2026.
