After his time in the majors he was in the minor-league American League in 1900, the Eastern League in 1901-1902 and the American Association from 1903-1910. He managed the Louisville Colonels in the American Association for part of the 1906 season.
He is the only major leaguer (through 2026) with the first name Suter, although Harry Suter and Brent Suter have had it as a last name.
