Biographical Information[edit]

Suter Sullivan played in the majors for two terrible teams: the St. Louis Browns of 1898 who went 39-111, and the Cleveland Spiders of 1899 who went 20-134. The two teams were linked through syndicate ownership.

After his time in the majors he was in the minor-league American League in 1900, the Eastern League in 1901-1902 and the American Association from 1903-1910. He managed the Louisville Colonels in the American Association for part of the 1906 season.

He is the only major leaguer (through 2026) with the first name Suter, although Harry Suter and Brent Suter have had it as a last name.
