Biographical Information[edit]

Steve Rodriguez was part of the 1992 College World Series champion Pepperdine University team. Rodriguez had hit .382/~.382/.400 in the round-robin phase of the 1991 Pan-American Games for the Bronze Medal Team USA. In 1992, Rodríguez was named one of the West Coast Conference's Top Fifty Athletes of all time.[1][2] Rodriguez played pro ball from 1992 to 1998. He was an assistant coach at his alma mater from 2000 to 2003, and became head coach in 2004 after being hired as the sixteenth head coach in the history of the Pepperdine baseball program in June of 2003. In 12 season at Pepperdine, he amassed a record of 401–300.

He left Pepperdine after the 2015 season to take over the head coaching duties at Baylor University.
