Biographical Information[edit]

After starring in baseball, football, and track at Trenton Central High School, outfielder Stanley Derry played two seasons in the St. Louis Cardinals organization. He split 1955 between the Hazlehurst-Baxley Cardinals (.266, .349 SLG in 42 G), Lynchburg Cardinals (5 G) and Allentown Cardinals (1 G). In 1956, Derry hit .284/?/.388 in 34 games for the Sanford Cardinals and .191/?/.340 in 15 contests for the Paducah Chiefs. He later worked in law enforcement.
