Biographical Information[edit]
Slim Harriss played 17 seasons of pro baseball from 1919 to 1935, spending 9 of them in the big leagues. He managed a semipro team for part of 1935 and 1936 before becoming a farmer and then a politician. He served as a commissioner in Brown County, TX for 12 years and at the time of his death he was an alderman in Bangs, TX.
He suffered a cerebral hemorrhage in 1962 and died a year later.
