Biographical Information

Shuta Takano has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Takano was drafted by the Chiba Lotte Marines in the 4th round of the 2022 NPB draft, the scout was Takaharu Nakagawa. He had a 4.41 ERA in 22 games in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2023, and he pitched 7 games with a 1.64 ERA for the top team. He then went 6-3 with a 3.65 ERA in the minors in 2024, and his ERA was 3.68 in 6 appearances for the big club. Takano joined Chiba Lotte's bullpen in 2025, and he notched 15 holds with a 1.84 ERA in 37 appearances.
