Biographical Information

Shunsuke Urata has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Urata was drafted by the Yomiuri Giants in the 2nd round of the 2024 NPB draft; the scout was Yasushi Takeda. He hit .280.362/.325 with 20 steals in 91 games in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2025, and he played 22 games with a .208/.263/.245 batting line for the top team. He tied Kisara Utsunomiya for second in the Eastern League in swipes.
