Biographical Information

Submariner Shunsuke Shimokawa has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Shimokawa played for the Oisix Niigata Albirex Baseball Club from 2022 to 2024, his 102 strikeouts the last year leading the Eastern League by 11 ahead of runner-up Yohander Méndez. He was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the 3rd round of the development phase in the 2024 NPB draft; the scout was Taiji Maruyama. He was 5-5 with a 3.27 ERA in the EL in 2025, and he also pitched 9 games with a 2.73 ERA for the top team.
