Biographical Information

Shuji Ishihara was drafted by the Kintetsu Buffaloes in the 2nd round of the 1976 NPB draft, and he stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first five seasons. He was 2-for-20 in 1982, and he went 1-for-10 in 1983. Ishihara only got 2 more at-bats for the top team, and he announced his retirement in 1987.
