Biographical Information

Shuichi Kira was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 2nd round of the 1967 NPB draft, and he only pitched one game combined in his first two seasons. He had a 6.75 ERA in 6 games in 1970, and he went 1-1 with a 3.27 ERA in 1972. Kira recorded a 3.21 ERA in 10 games in 1973, then his ERA was 2.70 in 7 relief outings in 1974. He didn't return to the big club again, and he announced his retirement in 1976.
