Biographical Information

Shota Kurosawa was drafted by the Chiba Lotte Marines in the first round of the development phase in the 2010 NPB draft, and he mainly stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first four seasons; he only pitched 2 games for the big club. He tied Toru Anan for second in the Eastern League in wins in 2014, with 8. He had a 2.92 ERA in 6 games for the big club in 2015, and he recorded a 4.50 ERA in 4 appearances in 2016. Kurosawa allowed 4 runs in 2 innings in 2017, and he announced his retirement. In the minors, he had gone 23-14 with 5 saves and a 2.97 ERA in 168 contests.
