Biographical Information

Shota Hamaya has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Hamaya was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the 2nd round of the 2019 NPB draft; the scout was Jun Takeshita. He was 3-3 with a 4.97 ERA in 2020, and he went 1-6 with a 6.63 ERA in 2021. He stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in the next three seasons, and he only got one appearances combined for the big club. Hamaya returned in 2025, and he pitched 16 games with a 4.50 ERA.
