Biographical Information

Shoji Nagano was drafted by the Chiba Lotte Marines in the 6th round of the 2017 NPB draft; the scout was Kaoru Takahashi. He pitched 4 shutout innings in 2018, and he recorded a 4.50 ERA in 5 appearances in 2019. However, Nagano's ERA rose to 5.40 in 13 relied outings in 2020, and he announced his retirement in 2021 after staying in the minors for a year.
