Biographical Information

Shinji Kawahara was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 4th round of the 1983 NPB draft, and he had a 1.86 ERA in 7 games in his first season. He recorded a 5.40 ERA in 9 relief outings in 1985, and he pitched 5 games with a 2.70 ERA in 1986. Kawahara didn't reach the big club in 1987, and he announced his retirement.
