Biographical Information[edit]
Shinichi Kimura signed with the Nagoya club in 1939, and he only played 4 games in his first season. He hit .104/.218/.104 in 45 games in 1940, and he recorded a .176/.310/.185 batting line in 66 games in 1941. Kimura played 71 games with a .167/.270/.195 batting line in 1942, and he enlisted into the military. He lost his right hand during the war, and his professional career ended. Kimura later coached Heian High School, Kishiwada High School and Ryukoku University, and he was the coach of Osaka Sangyo University from 1975 to 1982.
