Biographical Information

Sheng-Yu Chiu has played in the CPBL.

Chiu was drafted by the Rakuten Monkeys in the 6th round of the 2020 CPBL Draft, and he was 8-for-21 in the minors in 2021. He had a 20-for-70 record in 2022, and he missed most of the 2023 season due to injuries. Chiu then played 28 games with a .200/.396/.250 batting line in 2024, and he debuted against the Fubon Guardians on October 4, 2025; he got his first hit against Jyun-Yueh Tseng.
