Biographical Information

Seung-ki Song has pitched in the KBO and for the South Korea national baseball team.

Song was drafted by the LG Twins in the second round of the 2021 KBO draft, and he suffered from an elbow injury so he stayed in the minors in his first season. Song was 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA in 2022, and he enlisted into the military and missed the next two seasons. He broke out in 2025, and he entered the rotation of the Twins. He went 11-6 with a 3.50 ERA, and he was 8th in wins (tied with Adam Oller, Ju-young Son, Chan-kyu Im, Young-pyo Ko, Won-seok Oh, Mitch White, Se-woong Park and Dong-ju Moon). He pitched a shutout inning in the 2025 Korean Series Game 1, and he added two shutout innings with 3 Ks in Game 2. Song surrendered 2 runs in 1/3 of an inning in Game 4, and the Twins still beat the Hanwha Eagles in 5 games. He made it onto Korea's roster for the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

Song's repertoire included a fastball (peak 93.2 mph), slider, forkball, curveball and changeup.
