Biographical Information

Submariner Sesho Ryu was the only NPB pitcher from mainland China. He signed with the Nankai Hawks in 1938, and he went 0-2 with a 4.18 ERA in his first season. He was 8-12 with a 2.40 ERA in 1939, then he had a 2-8 record with a 2.98 ERA in 1940. Ryu announced his retirement after that season
