Biographical Information

Seiichi Uematsu was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 2nd round of the 1977 NPB draft, and he hit .198/.272/.291 in 104 games in his first season. He struggled again in 1979 as his batting line was .184/.200/.237 in 42 games, and he went 5-for-25 in 1980. Uematsu played 50 games with a .177/.226/.228 batting line in 1981, and he only got only 2 at-bats in 1982 then he announced his retirement in 1983.
