Biographical Information[edit]
Seiichi Murakami was drafted by the Daiei Hawks in the 4th round of the 1988 NPB draft, and he was 3-5 with a 4.54 ERA for the Salinas Spurs in 1990. He also pitched one game in Japan, and he had a 2.89 ERA in 5 appearances in 1991. However, failed to return to the big club before the Hawks released him in 1993, and the Hanshin Tigers picked him up. He allowed 8 runs in 4 innings in 1995, and he pitched 10 games with a 3.07 ERA in 1997. Murakami's ERA was 6.75 in 3 games in 1998, and he announced his retirement in 1999.
