Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Scott Reburn played in the Cincinnati Reds system in 1984 and 1985, peaking at Double-A. He was taken by the club in the 13th round of the 1984 amateur draft, a couple picks after pitcher Jeff Pico. He was signed by scout Gene Bennett.

With the Billings Mustangs in 1984, he went 7-4 with a 3.66 ERA in 13 starts. Between the Tampa Tarpons and Vermont Reds in 1985, he went 6-6 with a 3.92 ERA in 28 games (18 starts). For his career, he was 13-10 with a 3.81 ERA in 41 games (31 starts). In 207 2/3 innings, he allowed 218 hits and 96 walks (1.512 WHIP), while striking out 144 batters.

He once held the University of Louisville's career ERA record (3.11), though it was later broken by Justin Marks.
