Biographical Information[edit]

Satoshi Tokumoto played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 9 years

Tokumoto was drafted by the Orix BlueWave in the 5th round of the 1998 NPB draft, and he went 5-1 with a 5.92 ERA in 35 relief outings in 1999. He only pitched 4 games in each of the next two seasons, then he had a 1-4 record with a 3.34 ERA in 2002. Tokumoto slumped to 1-3 with a 6.72 ERA in 2003, and he led the Pacific League with 10 hit-by-pitches. He pitched 16 games with a 5.02 ERA in 2004, and he was assigned to the Rakuten Golden Eagles after the BlueWave merged with the Kintetsu Buffaloes. Tokumoto recorded a 8.31 ERA in 8 games in 2005, and he had a solid 1.37 ERA in 28 appearances in 2006. However, he only pitched 2/3 of an inning in 2007, and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Tokumoto went 6-15 with a 4.93 ERA, struck out 128 and pitched 262 2/3 innings in 9 seasons in NPB.
