Saidi Muhammad Aliff Fakhri Idrus has been on the Malaysian national team.
Debuting in the 2024 East Asian Baseball Cup, he was Malaysia's main left fielder. His first hit was off Sze-Chun Wong of Hong Kong. He hit .231/.385/.231 with 4 runs in 4 games, fielding .900 (with one game at SS). He led Malaysia in runs. [1] At the 2025 Southeast Asian Games, he was primarily a catcher. He batted .158/.304/.211 with 3 runs and 3 RBI in 6 games, fielding .806 and throwing out 29.1% of attempted base-stealers. He tied for the team lead in runs and RBI. Only Ngo Chi Hao made more errors than his 7 in those Games and only Nee Va Va allowed more swipes than his 17, but 7 thrown out easily led, 3 ahead of Faldy Akhmad Zulfikar and he had a better caught-stealing rate than the average catcher in the event.
