Biographical Information

Ryusei Ogawa has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Ogawa was drafted by the Chiba Lotte Marines in the 3rd round of the 2020 NPB draft; the scout was Takaharu Nakagawa. He was 0-for-6 in 20 games in 2021, and he hit .109/.275/.182 in 76 plate appearances over 68 games in 2022. Ogawa was mainly used as a pinch-runner or defensive replacement in 2023, and he had a 7-for-24 record in 52 games. He then became Chiba Lotte's starting second baseman in 2024, and he played 119 games with a .241/.317/.249 batting line, fielding .989. Ogawa split between shortstop and second base in 2025, and he hit .264/.320/.275 in 87 games.
