Biographical Information[edit]
Ryuichi Kobashigawa has been on the Peruvian national team.
He was Peru's second-youngest player in the 2025 Bolivarian Games; fellow 17-year-old Gianmarco Vega was four months and two days younger. He debuted as a pinch-runner for Susumu Yoza, scoring their first run in their comeback win over Curaçao. Staying in at second base, he scored the winning run in the 10th in the upset. He was 0-for-1 with a HBP and 3 runs in 3 games, handling 3 chances at second (one putout, two assists). Peru won Silver, their first Silver in baseball in a Bolivarian Games; their only prior medal had been a Bronze in 1947. [1]
