Biographical Information

Ryota Nakamura has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Nakamura was drafted by the Softbank Hawks in the 8th round of the development phase in the 2020 NPB draft; the scout was Kazuhide Sakuyama. He had a 5.40 ERA in 7 games in 2021 in the NPB Farm Leagues, and his ERA was 2.83 in 41 games in 2022. Nakamura also pitched 2 games for the big club in '22, but he allowed 10 runs in 2 2/3 innings. He then went 5-4 with a 2.17 ERA in 53 relief outings in 2023, and he led the Western League in games. Nakamura was 4-1 with a 2.36 ERA in 2024, but he surrendered 2 runs in an inning for the top team. The Hawks then released him, and he signed with the Chiba Lotte Marines. Nakamura went 3-3 with a 5.92 ERA in 2025, and he didn't reach the big club.
