Biographical Information

Ryota Muranishi has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Muranishi was drafted by the Orix Buffaloes in the 3rd round of the 2019 NPB draft; the scout was Masahiro Takumi. He only pitched 4 games for the big club in 2020, and he recorded a3.75 ERA in 18 relief outings in 2021. Muranishi then notched 8 holds with a 4.44 ERA in 22 appearances in 2022, and his ERA rose to 6.17 in 7 games in 2023. He was much better in the minors at 6-5, 1.73, leading the Western League in ERA. He only got one appearance in 2024 but was 5-5 with a 3.65 ERA in the WL.
