Biographical Information

Ryota Kato won two Best Nine awards in the Tohto University Baseball League, and he represented Japan in the 2004 World University Baseball Championship. He was drafted by the Daiei Hawks in the 6th round the 2004 NPB draft, but he only played 8 games for the big club before he announced his retirement in 2008. He later became a scout, signing Yutaro Fujita, Haruto Fujiwara, Jun Maeda and Kazuo Ohno.
