Biographical Information

Ryoichi Sato signed with the Kintetsu Buffaloes in 1955, and he went 4-5 with a 4.01 ERA in his first season. He improved to 5-9 with a 2.76 ERA in 1956, and his ERA was 4.15 in 9 games in 1957. He only pitched 3 games in 1958, then he announced his retirement.

Overall, Sato was 9-15 with a 3.37 ERA, struck out 163 and pitched 261 1/3 innings in 4 seasons in NPB.
